Port Credit, Ontario, Canada

We worked hard for two years, spending summers and winters getting  our floating home ready to head south… Muriel and I had planned this adventure for almost twenty five years, since we bought our first boat. We spent most of our summer weekends and holidays cruising the lakes in Ontario.

When we first decided to try sailing, we bought a 23 foot Grampian and learned to sail with four children in tow. The dream began. We kept that small sailboat for 10 years. We then moved up to a 26 foot Mirage, and continued to  cruise Lake Ontario. In the winter of 2009 we found our current boat, Mistress, in Annapolis MD. After completing the purchasing process, we had her trucked home to Port Credit Harbour Marine, in Mississauga, Ontario.

We were both transit operators for the Toronto Transit Commission, but are now retired. We have operated streetcars, subways, and buses. It has been a very rewarding career, but now have changed our mode of transportation to…. Sail!

We have four children, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and four beautifull grandchildren, whom were very hard to leave…… but the sea has called us.
